The STUP Award
The Berkeley City Council &
The Code Pink Lunatics
CSW 08-04
Let us first apologize to the Earth's lunar body (the moon) for using "lunatic" to describe Berkeley, California and the far left radical anti-war group, Code Pink.
Berkeley has been a rebel city and a home to liberal protesters for a long time. The war in Iraq has not escaped the ire of the protesters. However, when the city council joined forces with the Code Pink radicals and drafted a resolution that called Berkeley's military Marine Recruiters "uninvited and unwelcome intruders," they achieved a status equal to that of a scum bucket.
The Berkeley city council is so entrenched in the anti-war, anti-American movement that the city assigned reserved parking privileges to the Code Pink protesters immediately in front of the Marine recruiting office to help facilitate their protests.
Congrats to Berkeley and Code Pink for achieving STUP status.
Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) was so outraged at Berkeley he came up with an attention grabbing solution which earned him PERSPI honors this week.
