Where to begin? Schiff’s opening statement was just as bogus as this whole impeachment is. He told a falsehood about what the transcripts said. He stated that President Trump asked president Zelenski to investigate the Bidens as a favor which is not true. In fact, the Bidens were not mention until a page and a half after Trump mentioned a "favor". This man is incapable of telling the truth, which is why so many on the left love him.

Devin Nunes lit the place up with his opening statement unleashing a torrid of facts that should leave no doubt about this which hunt. While it is true that Nunes can get into some hyperbole when he speaks, this time he stayed with the facts and it was a devastating first blow.
Then Rep. Jim Jordan had his turn, and he offer a second blow to the democrats. Moving Jordan to the intelligence committee was a genius move and he has already proven his worth. He pointed out four facts that haven’t changed and none of the evidence will ever refute. He also explained what we can all expect from the democrats during these hearings.
Star witnesses for the democrats, Bill Taylor and George Kent said nothing that helped their case. We will get back to them in a minute. In fact, it was so bad that democrat representative Mike Quigley stated that hearsay testimony can be more compelling than direct evidence. This makes sense since all they have is hearsay, and some of that is third and fourth hand.
Schiff was up to his old tricks. He allowed the democrat’s attorney to ask witnesses about facts not in evidence, and yet the moment the attorney for the republicans ask a question, that Schiff says he will allow, he coached the witness to not answer questions that represent facts not in evidence. The rules, are dependent on however Schiff is feeling at the time.
Democrat Adam Schiff is making up the rules as he goes!

Also, keep in mind that Ukraine is a very corrupt nation. Trump has made several statements prior to the impeachment that he was concerned about giving money to Ukraine if they were still corrupt after Zelenisk’s election. Coffee Shop Weekly wrote about this earlier. This matters, because this is the position of the White House and the Democrats are ignoring it completely and saying Trump’s apparent actions were strictly political and personal. In other words, the democrats are saying that Trump had no right to ask the Ukrainians to investigate possible corruption concerning Burisma or the Bidens because Biden is running for president. By doing so Trump is furthering his political ambitions and therefore should be impeached.
The democrats are also saying that it is a myth that Ukraine interfered in the 2016 election, despite a politico investigation that showed that they in fact communicated with both the DNC and the Clinton campaign. That they were supporting Clinton and not only bad-mouthing Trump but attempting to dig up dirt on him as well. George Kent says specifically that there was no evidence of Ukraine interference with the 2016 election. The Politico article demonstrates this is a lie.
But somehow if Trump wants to make sure that this corruption doesn’t happen again in 2020, or if he asks for facts about their involvement in the 2016 election or possible influence peddling by Joe and Hunter Biden, via Burisma in Ukraine, in which Hunter was enriched, then he is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors. The only reason for this belief is founded on their utter hatred for Donald Trump.
The testimony of Kent and Taylor didn’t seem to be very fruitful, although MSM is making it out to a serious blow to the president. In fact, I think it went well for the president as the below clips indicate. Here are a few video excerpts of interactions with republican law makers.
One of the reasons Schiff isn’t allowing Hunter Biden to testify is that they say his involvement with Burisma is irrelevant since he broke no laws. Here is George Kent, one of the key witnesses for the democrats testifying that he was concerned about Hunter being on the board of Burisma due to a possible conflict of interest.
George Kent testifies that he "became aware that Hunter Biden was on the board of Burisma" and that he raised his concern of a conflict of interest with the then VP @JoeBiden's national security staff in February 2015. pic.twitter.com/WiFVmloyzO

Byron York posted the transcripts on twitter. Basically, the transcript is saying George Kent says he thought Hunter Biden role in Burisma 'could create the perception of a conflict of interest.' Somebody on Biden staff--doesn't know who--said VP just couldn't deal with it. Kent never brought it up again. Why? Just too busy.

Nick Arama reporting for red state offers some additional insights.
Kent also testified that he and other U.S. officials had long and abiding concerns about Burisma and corruption.
They thought the Burisma CEO had stolen money, they thought the prosecutor had taken a bribe to shut the case down against Burisma. Kent said he and other officials were fully in favor of the case being reopened and holding the prosecutors who had shut it down accountable. He said that they had continued to press why Ukraine had closed the case because they were concerned about corruption.
BIG --> George Kent testified today that Burisma and its owner "should" be investigated for corruption.

Rep. Elisa Stefanik then asked about Kent’s own deposition that Burisma was a suspect company and that considering corruption in Ukraine was an ongoing issue being dealt with at the highest levels of government regardless of who was president.
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY): "By 2016, you were so concerned about corruption questions related to Burisma that when there was an effort by Burisma to sponsor an essay contest with USAID, you asked USAID to stop it."

Then we have Rep. Jim Jordan questioning Ambassador Taylor. He lays out the facts with Taylor agreeing with him. Then Taylor says that a statement in Sondland offered him clarity. How this clustered stated brings clarity I wouldn’t know.
